PTA General Association Meeting
The PTA will hold a General Assocation Meeting in on March 10th at 8:15am in the Multi-Purpose Room to discuss the school budget cuts, as well as to formally announce the nominees for next year's PTA Board.  If you are interesting in being on the board or want to nominate someone, please attend this meeting, or email Devashree at dbhau123@yahoo.com.  All the board positions are listed on our website: http://www.jfs-pta.org/board.html.

Multi-Cultural Night 2010 - Friday, March 26th, 6pm
 
Art Gallery Banner
  You are invited to the 8th Annual Multicultural Night and potluck dinner (store bought food only)! Like every year, there will be numerous country booths represented at this event. There will be live entertainment and delicious food for you to sample.  This is one of our biggest events of the year and is not to be missed!  Save the date!

Under the Tuscan Moon A Success!
  Over 180 people enjoyed the Under the Tuscan Moon event held on Friday, February 5th at the Ranch Golf Club. The event began with a silent auction at 6:30pm where we had many items for sale such as Camp Galileo Summer Camps, 49ers jerseys, and jewelry. Teacher Times were even more popular this year and were a wonderful addition to our lineup. Everyone was incredibly impressed by the classroom artwork that was sold in the live auction by our entertaining auctioneer, Pete De Vries. We are proud to announce that we raised over $25,000 for our school! Way to go!

  There are many people who need to be thanked for creating such a wonderful evening to benefit our school. Some in particular who we would like to mention are:
Sujana Mukund and Holly Daniels who led the classroom art projects and who were supported by some amazing parents who volunteered their time and talents to create the masterpieces that went into the Live Auction.
Gina Kim who spent many hours creating the event program.
Tracy Wilkinson for collecting community donations for the Silent Auction.
Seema Mulji for coordinating all the classroom basket donations, purchases, and a great team of ladies who took the time to then put all the beautiful baskets together.
Suluxa Pai for creating an amazing slide show of the children working on the art that was shown during dinner at the event.
Loretta Mosley for handling ticket sales and being our event greeter.
Lisa Day and Laura Appleby for coordinating Check Out and a great team of ladies who ensured everything ran smoothly at then end of the event.
And last but not least, Sharon Bennett, for being the event chair and for working tirelessly to pull everything together for this wonderful evening.
 
  Thank you to all the JFS parents who helped in big and small ways, and who supported the school by attending the event...you all helped make this another successful event.
